New local partners in the Western Balkans

In the framework of Horizon Europe Project ‘GreenFORCE – Foster Research Excellence for Green Transition in the Western Balkans’ (Grant no:101059411) and as a result of the Request for Proposals on Research and Data Gathering for Mapping Green Transition in Western Balkan Countries: Kosovo, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, two local partners have been selected to support the work of Co-PLAN, Institute for Habitat Development on ‘Assessing just green transition impacts and costs’.

These are Centre for Development Evaluation and Social Science Research (CREDI), focused on ‘Assessing local economic and employment impact of JGT’ in Bosnia Herzegovina and Azra Vuković who will be focusing on the topic of ‘Waste Management sector transformation and its impact towards JGT’ in Montenegro.

These studies will further the assessment of how sectors, policies, territories, industry, etc. are transforming to contribute to just green transition for climate change adaptation and mitigation and what impacts this transformation will manifest on the society in the short and long-term.

We look forward to our work with these local consultants, to provide a fuller assessment regarding JGT in the Western Balkans.
