Workshop on the Scientific Research Publication Plan - January 23, 2023
On January 23rd, 2023, a hybrid workshop on the Scientific Research Publication Plan was held in Skopje, North Macedonia, bringing together project partners from Albania, Serbia, North Macedonia, Italy, and Sweden to plan activities related to the project’s scientific publications.
Following the first co-design workshop in Tirana on December 1st, 2022, this second workshop aimed to consolidate activities related to the GreenFORCE project’s Publication Plan for the Edited Book and Scientific Papers.
The workshop was structured into three distinct sections, each addressing crucial aspects of the publication plan. The first section focused on the handbook, with a discussion on open issues and potential publishers. The participants also designated the respective editors and set a timeline for releasing the edited book.
The second part of the workshop delved into scientific papers, with a specific emphasis on outstanding concerns. The participants explored the possibility of publishing selected articles in a special issue of the RSA journal “Territory, Politics, Governance”. They set a publication date and agreed on the various steps and specifics of the internal peer-review process, as well as paper consolidation.
The final section of the workshop centered around the call for abstracts for the edited book. Participants agreed that abstracts should be submitted by March 15th, with the evaluation taking place from March 15th to March 31st. Accepted proposals would be conveyed to the authors by April 7th. The workshop also solicited submissions for all four chapters of the handbook (excluding the introduction and conclusion sections). This section covered various topics such as proposal submission, criteria and review procedures for evaluation, and information to include.
The outcomes of both co-design workshops will be reflected in the final Scientific Research Publication Plan, which is to be submitted on March 31, 2023 as a deliverable of the GreenFORCE project.
