International Summer School in Belgrade: Communicating Just Green Transitions – Navigating the Path to a Sustainable Future
The second International Summer School will be held in in Belgrade from May 13 – 17, 2024 with the theme “Communicating Just Green Transitions – Navigating the Path to a Sustainable Future”
This summer school is a collaborative effort involving students from POLIS University (U_Polis), University of Belgrade – Faculty of Geography (UB-GEF), and Polytechnic University of Turin (POLITO). Our goal is to emphasize the significance of ‘just green transitions’ as a catalyst for conveying the essence of sustainability to the forthcoming generation.
With an engaging curriculum and by integrating interdisciplinary perspectives, leveraging technology, encouraging hands-on experiences, fostering collaboration, empowering advocacy, and showcasing success stories, students will be gaining a transformative learning experience.
Participants will partake in a series of lectures, workshops, and online sessions, delving into the challenges and potential solutions surrounding sustainable development. Drawing from both local perspectives and European and Western Balkans case studies, students will receive comprehensive guidance from an international, multi-disciplinary team of educators.
Through effective communication and active participation, the summer school seeks to cultivate environmentally conscious and empowered young leaders who will play a pivotal role in shaping a sustainable future.
This event marks the second stand-alone teaching initiative by GreenFORCE. We are thrilled to host 20 students from U_Polis, UB-GEF, and POLITO in this event and invite them to join us in Belgrade for an enriching experience!
