Summer School in Turin
The International Summer School in Torino is currently being organized and is scheduled to take place from 18-22 September 2023, in Turin. “Cities in Just Green Transitions with a focus on Turin post-carbon transformations” is the topic of the first summer school organized in the framework of GreenFORCE. The activities which are to be included have been introduced during a kick-off meeting on the 5th of July and will be concluded with final presentations next October-November.
The Interuniversity Department of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning (DIST), at the Polytechnic University of Turin, will host 20 international students from POLIS University, University of Belgrade – Faculty of Geography and the Polytechnic University of Turin to get involved in an in-situ study visit, open focus groups, public discussions, stakeholders and contextual policy analysis. By stimulating scientific reflections, researchers, mentors and students will be invited to experiment with different approaches and methodologies to accompany territories towards a more just and green transition process.
The summer school in Turin is organised jointly by the Interuniversity Department of Urban and Regional Studies and Planning and the Interdepartmental Responsible Risk Resilience Centre (R3C) of the Polytechnic University of Turin and is set in the framework of the School of Planning and Design and supported by Co-PLAN, Institute for Habitat Development in Albania as the coordinating partner; University of Belgrade – Faculty of Geography (UB-GEF) in Serbia and the Center for Economic Analyses (CEA) in North Macedonia as the two regional partners; and Nordregio, a pan-Nordic research organisation based in Sweden.
