In May 2023, the two-day 6th Annual Workshop of the Western Balkan Network on Territorial Governance was held along with participants from the GreenFORCE network.

During the first day of the workshop, it was underscored that the Green Agenda and other policy commitments made by Western Balkan countries demand more profound societal and academic discussion to design place-sensitive and realistic pathways for regional development. In addition, the participants reflected on how to improve macroregional governance in the Western Balkans.

The second day of this event revolved around discussions on the future of the network in terms of how to position it better in the region related to territorial governance issues.

In coming years, the GreenFORCE partnership will explore possible actions to strengthen similar discussions also by possibly tapping into the potential of informal and professional relations.
