Annual Review of Territorial Governance in the Western Balkans has opened a call for papers for its fourth issue.

This journal is a periodical publication with select policy briefs on matters related to territorial governance, sketching the present situation, the Europeanisation process, the policy and the research and development agenda for the near future. As a publication it targets policy-makers and policy-influencing actors.

The Editorial Theme of 2023 builds around “Green Transitions in the Western Balkan”. Articles can have a focus on the EU Green Deal and implications of green and digital transitions for the WB countries, the EU Green Agenda for the WB, aspects of climate change mitigation and adaptation, nature-based solutions, decarbonisation of public transport and energy, linkages between environmental and spatial planning practices, policy analysis for green transition in different sectors such as energy, agriculture, environment, transport, local public finances, etc. Articles that have a comparative approach on one or more countries are particularly welcomed in this year’s edition.
